In nature water is never wasted, but forms part of a cycle called the Water Cycle or Hydro-logical Cycle.
You have done the Water Cycle in the lower grades.
Why is water so important?
Plants, animals and people cannot live without water and need water to make their bodies function and stay alive.
Plants, animals and people can live without food for a while, but cannot live long without water, or they will dehydrate (excessive thirst) and die.
Many things (substances) are transported in living organisms with the help of water.
Many life processes take place with the help of water:
1) Reproduction needs water to transport the cells of the male to the cells of the female.
2) Water gives plants their shape and is necessary for photosynthesis.
