WCC is delighted to be the first in South Africa to secure the rights for screening the film “Trashed” in which actor Jeremy Irons takes us on a journey around the world, showing us how we are ‘drowning in trash’.
And what do we do with all this rubbish? “We buy it, we bury it, we burn it and then we ignore it.” This doesn’t just have a major impact on our environment but on our health too.
But don’t worry, it’s not all doom and gloom. Jeremy also searches for solutions. This is a brilliant, intelligent documentary that has gone to extreme lengths to provide its viewers with information that is un-ignorable.
We urge you to diarise this special event: Tuesday 24th September (Heritage Day), 17h30 at the Green House. R10 at the door to cover costs.
