Well hi there again. I’m sorry I didn’t talk to you yesterday. I didn’t feel much like it. I went to the vet and found out what my humans meant. If you don’t mind, I would rather not talk about it.
But at least when I got back to the Green House I met a very nice man called David Davidson. He came to the Green House to tell us all about the wonderful display of our flowers he designed for the Chelsea Flower Show. He showed lots of beautiful photographs of all the different kinds of plants that grow in South Africa. He called it biodiversity. Apparently we have a lot of biodiversity in South Africa and we should be very, very proud of it. Many of our flowers are now grown in overseas countries for people to buy for their gardens and they don’t even realise that they came from South Africa. I think I’ll go and check the bee garden to see if we have a lot of biodiversity there.
David said that showing our flowers at Chelsea encourages lots of people to come and visit us to see more of our biodiversity. They are called tourists and they bring money to the country and help to employ more people. I wonder if I learn a lot more about the eco-thing and get to be a savvy cat if anyone will want to employ me.
Anyway David was very kind to me when I was still feeling a bit groggy. He picked me up and gave me a big hug. That was really nice….
