Fernkloof Easter Fun

Fernkloof Nature Reserve, Hermanus
Friday 6 April to Monday 9 April
09h00 – 17h00 daily

The Hermanus Botanical Society has planned a wonderful family fun Easter weekend in the gardens of the nature reserve.
There will be fabulous teas and lunches prepared by Carol Leipold’s team – a real Easter treat served on the lawns in the Fernkloof garden.
Specimens will showcase the wild flowers that are in bloom at Easter time with interesting facts about the various species. So if you are already a fynbos fan, test your knowledge against the named specimens.  For example, can you name the Erica above? And if you are not yet a fan, there is no better place to start. The tiny Fernkloof Nature Reserve has more species than the entire United Kingdom.
There will be indigenous and water wise plants at the nursery for your waterless garden at sale prices. If you have given up on your garden in the face of the drought, don’t despair! Jack and his staff will assist you to find plants that will survive anything and thrive.
The kids can explore the beautiful gardens while the adults enjoy their refreshments on the lawns.
If you are already a Fernkloof fan you will know what a treat is in store for you. If you have never been to Fernkloof, don’t you think it’s about time? This is your opportunity to get acquainted with this fabulous feast of fynbos.

Entry is free and there is ample parking in the reserve.
