Renosterveld is one of the most endangered vegetation types in the world. Renosterveld is also the richest bulb habitat on Earth, displaying a spectacular bloom over the spring season. Renosterveld is part of the fynbos biome and is characterised by the presence of the low grey renosterbos. Mammals found in renosterveld that are threatened include Honey badger, White-tailed mouse, Serval, African wild cat, Antbear and Cape Mountain Zebra.
