Everyone should learn to swim while still young. This would help us to be safe in water. You should never never go swimming alone. If you get into trouble your friends can call for help. You should not swim in the river mouth, where the river runs into the sea, as this is dangerous. You must never dive into unclear or shallow water.
When you go for a swim in a river you should always be aware of animals like crocodile and hippopotamus under the water. You must always check how deep the water is before entering; use a stick or a pole. Always have a rope or stick near the water to help someone in trouble. Always ask adult permission and supervision when going for a swim.
