We can describe the Earth as a watery planet because 70% of it’s surface is covered in water. All living things are mostly made of water. Water is very important to us because it makes up a large part of our bodies. A person can live for about twenty to thirty days without food but for less than seven days without water.
What does water do in the body?
Chemical reactions in the body happens in the watery solution, so each cell in the body is made up of mostly water. Water is used to carry things around the body, for example chemicals that dissolve in it.
