Did You Know

Paradise flycatchers are tiny, brilliantly coloured birds found in forests in most parts of South Africa. With bodies of rich chestnut brown, heads of blue, eyes and beak ringed with cobalt blue and fantastically long tails, they flit through the forest, making one almost believe in fairies. The nests are equally attractive, no larger than an egg cup, created from grass, bark, lichen and spider webs.. As their name hints, they eat insects, but they don’t limit themselves to flies.
