Fluvial Landforms – Waterfalls and Rapids

Fluvial means ‘of the river’ or ‘found in a river’. Moving water is very powerful. Rivers are always at work changing the channel they flow in and the landscape surrounding them.

Drainage Density

Drainage density is a measure of how well a basin is drained by rivers. The more extensive the network of streams, the higher the drainage density will be.

Discharge of a river means the speed and volume of the river’s flow.
